As you know, a good number of Android smartphones are being unveiled with the increase of technology as the days pass by. You come across a good variety of Android devices with nearly similar features and specs putting you into confusion of choice.
Well, we have come up with two such devices namely, LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy S4 along with their major differences and similarities. Go through the comparative discussion below that would help you to conclude with a better choice.
The LG G2 is built with a 5.2 inches LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and 16M colors while the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a little small 5.0 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with the same resolution.
The similarity about the display of both devices is that both are protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Storage and Connectivity
The LG device is enabled with an internal storage of 32 GB flash memory with about 24GB for the user along with 2 GB RAM while the Galaxy smartphone has 64 GB flash memory and 2 GB of RAM as internal storage.
The LG G2 has no external memory or microSD card support whereas the Galaxy S4 is facilitated with an external storage system featured as microSD expandable up to 64 GB.
Both the LG G2 and the Samsung flagship have a good number of connectivity features in common and they are GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA 42 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, 100 Mbps DL, Cat3, LTE, 50 Mbps UL, Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, dual-band, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, NFC, Infra-red, microUSB v2.0 (MHL), USB OTG and USB Host.
Cameras are kind of same with just some differences in the features that they support. Both are embedded with a 13 MP camera featuring autofocus and LED flash while the Galaxy S4’s shooter resembles 4128 x 3096 pixels resolution.
Both devices’ camera feature geo-tagging, face detection, optical image stabilization and HDR while Samsung has provided some enhanced features such as dual shot, simultaneous HD video and image recording and touch focus in its device.
The G2 is facilitated with a 2.1 MP front facing camera but the front camera in the Galaxy S4 is a 2 MP shooter and supports dual video calling.
OS and Processor
Both LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy S4 run on Google’s Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and so this is again a similarity. A powerful Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor boosts the LG G2 while the Galaxy device is booted by a Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 which has a little less frequency.
The G2 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset and a Adreno 330 graphics processor while the Galaxy S4 gets power from a Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset and a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 graphics chip.
So, according to the above discussed comparison, both the devices have some not only decent but amazing specs. Both have powerful hardware, software and camera while there are some differences of some enhancements in each device which is not likely to make a major issue.
