31 useful keyboard shortcuts for all browsers

Keyboard shortcuts are a good thing for any computer user. They not only speed up the work of Photoshop Professionals and the operation of the operating system, but also when browsing a real workload. Many of these shortcuts work in all browsers while Chrome from Firefox to Internet Explorer.

Similar to the shortcut for copying, cutting and pasting content that will work the same everywhere, there are also keyboard shortcuts that work in most browsers. Some of the shortcuts work but then not in all browsers (these are marked separately).

Keyboard shortcuts for navigation

  • Previous page – Alt + left arrow key (Win), Backspace (Mac)
  • Next page – Alt + right arrow key (Win) Shift + Backspace (Mac)
  • Reload – F5 (Windows), cmd + R (Mac)
  • For the browser homepage set – Alt + Home (Windows), cmd + fn + left arrow key (Mac)
  • A frame to scroll down – Space or Page Down (Windows and Mac)
  • Scroll up one frame – Page Up (Win and Mac)
  • Scroll all the way to the top – Home (Win), fn + left arrow key (Mac)
  • Scroll to the bottom – end (Win), fn + right arrow key (Mac)

Keyboard shortcuts for tabs and windows

  • To next tab (right) – ctrl + Tab (Windows), cmd + alt + right arrow key (Mac)
  • To previous tab (left) – ctrl + Shift + Tab (Windows), cmd + alt + left arrow key (Mac)
  • Active Close tab – Ctrl + F (Windows), cmd + F (Mac)
  • Open new tab – Ctrl + T (Win), Cmd + T (Mac)
  • New browser window – Ctrl + N (Windows), cmd + N (Mac)
  • Close the browser window – Alt + F4 (Windows), cmd + F (Mac)

  • Full screen mode – F11 (Windows), cmd + Shift + F (Mac)

Keyboard Shortcuts for the Address Bar

  • Everything in the Address bar mark, so you can directly type in a URL – Ctrl + L (Windows), cmd + L (Mac)
  • The text in the address bar in the front with “www.” and rear complete with “com.” – Ctrl + Enter (Windows), cmd + Enter (Mac)
  • The URL in the Address Bar in new tab – Alt + Enter (Win and Mac)

Keyboard Shortcuts for History and Bookmarks

  • History Open – Ctrl + H (Windows), cmd + Option +2 (Mac)
  • Download History Open – Ctrl + J (Win), cmd + option + L (Mac Safari) Cmd + J (Mac Firefox)
  • Current page to bookmarks – Ctrl + D (Win) Cmd + D (Mac)

  • All in the search bar mark, so you can directly enter a search – Ctrl + K (Win) Cmd + Option + F (Mac)
  • The entered search term into the search bar run – Alt + Enter (Win and Mac)
  • Input field for search terms within a page open call – Ctrl + F (Windows), cmd + F (Mac)
  • The next match of the search here on a web page – Ctrl + G (Win) Cmd + G (Mac)
